1) How did you find out about affiliate marketing and what inspired you to pursue this field?
I was working as an employee (CLT) at the time and was taking an online investment course when the professor mentioned that he was earning around R$ 5,000 per month as extra income by working online as an affiliate. After that, I decided to research more about the subject and enrolled in my first digital marketing course for affiliates.
2) What were the main strategies you used to succeed as an affiliate? Could you share some valuable tips or insights for those who are starting out?
I started with the content production strategy on the YouTube platform. Then, I created a free course teaching people how to set up a lead capture sales funnel (funnel with an ebook). I consider this to be my trump card because many people thanked me for the content and ended up buying one of the products I recommended as an affiliate. Lastly, I added the advertising strategy to boost lead capture and sales.
3) How do you choose the products or services to promote as an affiliate? Is there any specific criteria you follow?
Yes, there are some criteria. Currently, one of my main sources of income is as an affiliate of the Builderall platform. Taking that into consideration, I choose products that complement and help entrepreneurs who have just set up their own structure, such as courses on advertising, copywriting, and design. Most of them end up needing some of these additional products or services. This way, I create what I call a "product funnel," which allows me to make more than one sale to the same customer, maximizing profits.
4) What is your opinion on the future of affiliate marketing? Do you think there is still a lot of room to grow and innovate in this area?
Definitely. Affiliate marketing is still in its infancy compared to other marketing strategies that have been in the market for decades. Every day, more and more new products are being created, which means new opportunities for us as affiliates. I believe this market will never stop growing as it is constantly evolving.
5) How do you manage your affiliate network and communicate with them? What are the key characteristics you look for in an affiliate to work together?
We have adopted Telegram as our official internal communication tool with our affiliates. Additionally, we have built a members area with the eLearning resources from Builderall, where we provide our own trainings and recordings of the live mentorship sessions we conduct with the group.
The characteristics we value the most are proactive and action-oriented individuals. Within the Builderall platform, affiliates have access to various training materials. With our support, they can get their questions answered and receive assistance whenever needed. Therefore, if a person possesses these two characteristics I mentioned, they have a great chance of succeeding as a Builderall affiliate.
