1) How did you find out about affiliate marketing and what inspired you to pursue this field?

I already knew about affiliate marketing before, mainly in the online courses industry, but I started to realize that there were also software or platforms that allowed me to earn a commission for recommending them.

Along the way, I always look for a platform that has an affiliate program because I know I will recommend it if it works for me. That's why among the digital tools I use in my agency called Ciervo Naranja, which specializes in helping others create and sell their own online courses, we use several tools in our own systems and mainly in the systems we implement for our clients. This way, we not only monetize by charging for our services, but also through the affiliate commissions generated throughout the process.

2) What were the main strategies you used to succeed as an affiliate? Could you share some valuable tips or insights for those who are starting out?

I believe that the main strategy I have used is to ensure that the main product I sell is the platform itself. Nobody wants to feel obligated to use something they are told to use. In other words, what I recommend is to create a service, an infoproduct, or any product that is inherently valuable, and within that process, include a product that has an affiliate program and present it as an option for the customer. In 95% of cases, the customer will choose what I recommend if I have demonstrated expertise and added value by teaching or implementing something for them.

For example, in my agency, we build sales funnels for infoproducts, such as unique webinar launches, webinar series launches, and sales with recorded mini webinars, among others. In all these cases, we use landing pages, emails, and in some cases, even a digital calendar to generate automated appointments. Clients hire us to build all this, but since we use Builderall as our main tool, we recommend and suggest that it is the one we use in our own funnels and also with our clients, yielding good results. This way, they choose to acquire Builderall and have a great outcome. In the end, clients are satisfied with the work, and we continue to receive commissions consistently because we provided them with a system that uses the affiliate product to function, rather than just selling them the affiliate product.

3) How do you choose the products or services to promote as an affiliate? Is there any specific criteria you follow?

My main criterion is to choose products that my service or what I'm going to offer needs to be executed. I don't try to force it, I don't try to "fit" a service for that purpose. On the other hand, I always look for two things when choosing a platform: that it works well and that it is accessible. Builderall meets these two functions and allows me to recommend something to my clients that works and won't hurt their wallets.

4) What is your opinion on the future of affiliate marketing? Do you think there is still a lot of room to grow and innovate in this area?

I believe that the affiliate marketing industry can continue to expand, but I think it's important for more people to understand what it is and how they can benefit from it. I also believe that there should be better advertising of these tools to make people aware of the affiliate programs they offer. Many times, I have used and recommended products without knowing they had an affiliate program, and as a result, I haven't taken advantage of its benefits.

5) How do you manage your affiliate network and communicate with them? What are the key characteristics you look for in an affiliate to work together?

It's very simple for me, since my affiliates are my clients. As I mentioned before, I don't exclusively sell an affiliate product, but instead include it as part of the service offered by my agency or in any course that I teach. So my affiliates always have closeness with me and my message is more focused on getting results with the system they already have operating for them, and within that system is the product that pays me commissions. Therefore, if they continue to make money with what I offered them and commissions are still generated by using the affiliate product, that will never stop and we all win.
